Floral Care Guide

Simple tips to help your flowers look beautiful for as long as possible.

Here to help your flowers thrive.

From everyday bouquets to special-occassion florals, proper care can make all the difference. Below you’ll find easy, florist approved tips for keeping your flowers fresh and beautiful.

Vases

Refresh with room temperature water every other day and trim stems by ½ inch diagonally each time.

Floral Foam Arrangements

Check water level daily. When needed add water slowly until the floral foam is saturated, then pour out any excess that may overflow.

Loose Wrap Bouquets

Remove any packaging and trim ½ inch off the stems diagonally before placing in a clean vase with fresh room temperature water. Change the water and retrim stems every other day.

Corsages & Bouts

Keep in packaging and place it in the refrigerator. Near the front and away from fruits and vegetables.

Attach gently and handle with care. Pin boutonnieres through the thickest part of the lapel, inserting the pin upward and through the stem, not across it. For corsages, fasten the wristband so it sits comfortably and stays in place.

Event Bouquets

Store in a cool room or whenever possible in the front of the refrigerator, away from fruits and vegetables. Keep the stems in their water source until you’re ready to hold it.

Gently dry the bottoms of the stems and handle the bouquet with care. Hold it by the stems and keep it upright to protect the flowers and preserve its shape.

Extra Tips

Keep your flowers in a cool, draft‑free spot and out of direct sunlight.

Remove any dead or wilting leaves right away to help your blooms last longer.

Save your flowers as a keepsake by letting them air dry. Simply hang them upside down in a cool, dry spot until no moisture is left.Â
